Ahead of the launch of Galaxy S6 in March 2015, Samsung announced a massive price drop for its old flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S4 in India. It is now available online for Rs.17,999 at Amazon.in. Earlier it was selling at Rs. 21,900, that means a total price cut around Rs.3900. The smartphone was launched in 2013 with a price tag of Rs. 41,500.
Samsung Galaxy S4 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and the recent Android 5.0 Lollipop update has already been rolled out by the company. The 990 MB Lollipop update is available over the air (OTA) for all Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 variants which runs on Exynos chipset.
With latest Android Lollipop update this device will have a rich feel of Google’s material design UI, tweaks in TouchWiz, Enhanced Notification Panel, Guest Mode, Android Smart Lock, ART runtime for Apps and Battery Saver mode along with security patches.

Launched in April 2013, Samsung Galaxy S4 is powered with Exynox 5 Octa Core processor (1.6GHz Quad + 1.2GHz quad) along with PowerVR SGX 544 GPU. It houses robust 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage and microSD card support up to 64GB for external storage.
It sports 5 inches Full HD (1920 pixels x 1080) Super AMOLED display which comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Awesome 13 MegaPixel (MP) rear camera and 2 MP front camera for selfies is there. Connectivity features include 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS with GLONASS, NFC, Bluetooth, USB OTG support, IR and Wi-Fi. Samsung claims that its 2600 mAH battery can last up to 17 hrs on an active 3G network.
This seems to be a great deal at this price if compared to other smartphones in the same price range.
